Why can't every decade be like the 80's??

OK, so I've been on this huge 80's kick recently... actually, it's more like a lifelong obsession, but still..

80's tunes, 80's fashion (for one of my many halloween costumes, of course), 80's movies... the 80's were just all around awesome.

Here's my current 80's faves playlist on Groveshark (although I have one current song on the list that I couldn't leave off - I just love it). It's my "get pumped" playlist that I listen to at work. It helps get me motivated... especially on Monday's. :)
Go ahead - Listen and reminisce....

Oh and the halloween costume... I'm really excited. Although, it's actually for this crazy race I'm running in that weekend. I'm sure I won't be doing a whole lot of actual running, but whatever. It's going to be a blast, and it's almost required to wear a costume. So I'm going with a little of this...

and this...

some of this...

and a LOT of this...

:) My costume is going to ROCK!

Ah the 80's... What do you think of when you think 80's? Or more specifically, what song do you hear in your head when you think 80's? I think Footloose... That song IS the 80's. That and Danger Zone. Aw Kenny Loggins. I heart your golden voice... Speaking of Kenny, I saw the new Footloose movie this weekend. I was fully prepared to go by myself, since I was sure none of my friends would want to pay $10 to see it, but my awesome friend, Elaine, was all over it. :) She really is all sorts of awesome.

Needless to say, it was full of awesomeness. From the opening scene sing along (because who DOESN'T sing along to Footloose??), to Ren teaching Willard to dance, to the angry warehouse dance, the movie was all around fantastic. Props to Mr. Bacon for making the original so iconic, but I kinda like the remake better.

Anyway, I suppose I should get back to the present and actually get some work done today. :-P

Hasta Pasta!
